So I'm assuming I misunderstood the genre when I bought this series. I thought it was a paranormal reverse harem romance novel. I was wrong. If you are looking for a paranormal adventure then this series is one you will enjoy. While the MC is supposedly mated to 2 men, their relationship never progresses past kissing. I guess for some, that is the kind of romance you like...one where the characters relationship progresses, but never leads to physical intimacy. There is nothing wrong with that kind of story, but it's not my cup of tea. I like my romances on the steamy side.Before you judge based on that, I would like to point out that there is nothing wrong with the story itself. The author developed the characters well and the story flows well. I wasn't a huge fan of Ruby or Axel, but neither of them were completely unlikable. If you are looking for a paranormal adventure then you will like this series. If you're wanting romance then I wouldn't recommend it. I would actually give this 3.5 stars if I could. The story was pretty good. It kept me reading. I read the whole series within a couple days. If you like werewolf romances you will probably like this one. The sexual tension was great. I was surprised there were no sex scenes, but that was fine for me because the story was strong. If an author can't keep her reader engaged without the sex, then the story and characters are too weak.With that said, IMO Axel's character was not sufficiently "redeemed" before Ruby softened toward him. And for me, the series lost a whole star because I lost count of how many times a character "pinched the bridge" of his or her nose. I think every character in the series did it multiple times. I can see the repetion a few times for one character. It makes it seem like a habit and character trait. But by the ninth or tenth time I read it and it was yet another, different character doing it, I was gritting my teeth and thinking that I hope Sara didn't pay her editor too much.
