Krista is a beautiful actress who has been in the closet for most of her career. Julia is her best friend from birth brings her to the camp they did a lot of growing up in their youth. Together they will create a place where secrets are safe. They renovate and make the lake and the cabins a vacation spot to be envied. The season was going along well until Roberta Bell the journalists whose big stories out the elite of Hollywood. The story heats up as Krista personally hosts Roberta and sparks fly. Jamey Moody has written a love/ hate kind of story that has some delicious twists. Some realy beautiful descriptions of a lakeside vacation spot that makes you feel your right there. The relationships are rich in experiences and love. The journey to love Krista has is sweet, deep dialogue and so hot. I enjoyed the romantic, love is love stories were rich and heartfelt. I could not put it down and my heart was so full I can't wait for the next book. I loved this and will reread it often to experience the growing of love from a great dislike. Bravo! I pick this book after reading "Our secret summer" thinking it was the continuation of the beautiful love story of Krista and Melanie. But I was quickly and sadly disappointed. Krista and Melanie were so in love and in this book "Where secrets are safe" made it seem like that time never happened to Krista and that she never cared about Melanie at all. And it was never explained why they weren't together anymore. Throughout this book Krista talked about all her relationships but not about Melanie. Then almost at 78% or something of this book when Krista is asked about being in love before, she says something so vague about when she was young and in love but with no explanation. Really? This book was so disappointing and disrespectful to everything that Krista and Melanie shared and were to each other back then. And Krista and Brooke's relationship seemed so rushed and I felt nothing for them as a couple. And I really did not like Brooke at all and after this story I didn't care for Krista anymore either. (The only enjoyable part of this book was that Julia and Heidi were still in love and stayed together for 30 years and have raised two beautiful and kind daughters that are going to college).
